  • How Serious Are Flies To Your Health & The Health of Your Horse?
World health officials have often characterized the common housefly as the most dangerous insect on Earth! By breeding in the filth and refuse of animals and humans, the fly transmits many dangerous viruses and other disease causing bacteria. Many species bite humans and animals, in addition to their propensity to spread disease. Ridding your farm, stalls and pastures of flies, will do a great deal to help prevent internal parasite infestations (when horses eat fly larvae found in manure and pastures), the spreading of germs and bacteria and irritation for both you and your horse!

    Who Is Kunafin?
Kunafin is family owned and operated. The insectary was founded by Joe and Frank Junfin. Joe, an entomologist trained in Europe, and Frank, and is graduate of Texas A&M in entomology! Started in 1959 Kunafin has been producing and supplying beneficial insects for Biological Integrated Insect Control (BIIC) programs. Kunafin has been a pioneer in the field of BIIC and began some of the first Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs in the United States.

Kunafin has attained a well-deserved reputation for straightforward representation of BIIC programs. We do not over sell our capabilities and we do not make unrealistic promises. It is important to realize that NO method of insect control is 100% effective, including the use of the most powerful insecticides. BIIC is no exception, but it has proven to be the most COST-EFFECTIVE and the only method that gives consistent, long-term control of pest insects.
